Alternative Medicine?

why is it that if I tell people that my electro shock therapy is making me feel better they assume that I'm lying and tell me that I should be on medicine? Is it just society being resistant to change?

Well since electroshock therapy has been around for decades I don't think you can blame people's reaction on their resistance to change. Maybe they are just uncomfortable with the idea and are suggesting alternatives? If it is working for you don't worry about what other people say.

People always distaste change.
Change seems to be a discomfort for most.
If you're feeling better than its non of their business to tell you to go on a alternative medicine

change is part of our life-style. Any medicine we take in must be prescribed by doctors. Any wrong medicine or things we do to our body will be rejected and bad for us.

Yes. You have no idea how many people scoff at the idea of acupuncture. It really works... but they'd rather live with the pain and complain about how they don't want surgery...
