| Alternative Medicine? why is it that if I tell people that my electro shock therapy is making me feel better they assume that I'm lying and tell me that I should be on medicine? Is it just society being resistant to change? |

| It isn't really society being resistant to change, it is allopathy, and then society believing that the MDs have no motive or anything to gain by telling them alternatives don't work. When in reality allopathy, AMA, and pharmaceutical companies have everything to gain by keeping people in the dark that alternatives work. They have even launched internet websites to "debunk" alternatives - they are called "quackbusters". And, alternative practitioners have launched websites to debunk the debunking websites. They like to call themselves "quackpot busters," It all gets quite snarled and tangled, with a lot of useless, non-productive arguing back and forth! In my opinion, if you know it works, pass on the word!! If someone doesn't believe you, it is ultimately their loss, since they have believed something helpful cannot help. In the end, if they need the treatment and do not use it because of the quackbuster campaign against alternative medicine, it is very sad indeed. We need to keep spreading the word that alternatives work! They have for us for years, even for our animals. We gave Allopathy and phara cos the youth of our lives, and learned valuable lessons about what not to do. We'll still see an MD if we have internal injuries that require immediate intervention, or a broken bone. But, we trust our longevity to alternative medicine, healthy diet, and lifestyle. In the end, you know it is working for you! That is what is important. And the suggestion to consider diet wasn't a bad one either. |
