Linguistics and Anthropology (as a joint degree)?

...a recipe for regret when the time comes to find employment? I'm constantly having folk trying to dissuade me, but it's just something I feel I have to do. Business or computer science or whatever else could never motivate me in the the same way.

Would teaching (secondary school English) be a realistic aspiration?
