Which is better US Navy officer or air force officer? I have a B.S. in Computer Engineering (recently) and thinking of joining the service as a stepping stone in my technical career or if I like the service life maybe I will stay in it for 20yrs. and collect the cool pension.

Navy is far better than the Air Force for these reasons 1 Tradition 2 broader variety of available jobs 3 Better chance of promotion due to more job opportunities Oh yeah also the Uniforms for officers are best in the navy those black double breasted suits with the rank on the sleeve are the best in any military here in the US

Air Force is better. They are the most difficult service to get into. If you have been in any other service the Air Forces will not take you, however the converses is not true of the other services. The food is better in the Air Force.

i take it you would luv to be a pilot , well i have heard that officers training school in the navy is the hardest to pass but then again a pilot in the navy is the best there is you have heard of the "blue angels" right .

The Air Force has gotten the assignment of cyber-security and ensuring the USA is protected from attacks via the internet. Seems to me someone with a Computer engineering degree would fit in better in that area of service. It is a new area of responsibility and the needs for good personnel are high and promotion opportunities are high. Also the USAF is in charge of space communications, another area where computer expertise is needed. The Navy is out of the picture in both areas.
