| Ok. I'm about to join the army reserves? The reason why I'm joining the reserves is simple. I want to be a weekend warrior. I'll proudly go overseas. However, I am also thinking about being a police officer while I am a reservest. So, I want to go to the police academy while I'm a reservist. Police academy's are usually a few months long. They are usually set up where you can't leave. So, can I still be a police officer while I'm a reservest? Will they accomodate me? I know police departments are usually one of the best friends of our millitary as many of the officers are former soldiers and sailors themselves?? I'd really love an answer from a police officer who was in the reserves, or someone that works for a police department. Feedback? Please, I appreciate people's opinions.. However, I don't need someone to say whether they support or are against the wars. I'm asking specific questions regarding my ambitions. Millitary doesn't just fight wars, they rebuild infrastructures, help with natural disasters. exc. exc. exc. Additionally, I will be GOING to millitary basic training. |
