| Navy Reserve Officer transfering to Army Active...bonus program? My husband is an O4 Navy Reserve Officer. He has been deployed for the past 18 months overseas in support of the Army...he just got home yesterday. While he was there he decided that he wants to go back Active Duty, and has done an Interservice transfer from Navy Reserve to Army Active. My question is: does anyone know if there is a bonus program for this type of situation? We were under the impression that he would qualify for the Blue to Green...but that's only for Active to Active transfers...not Reserve to Active. Also, I see other bonus programs, but they are taylored to Enlisted personnel...It seems to me that there should be SOMETHING for him and others like him...Anyone know anything? Just to be clear: He's NOT transfering "just for the bonus"...it's just a question....Thank you In response to "AUG"'s answer: Yes, Officers DO get bonuses...that's exactly what the "Blue to Green" program is all about. Thanks. |
