I don't know but you can ask for Active duty guard jobs until then. Look up AGR jobs after you finish basic and ask for some ADSW work around the state. You can also ask to change units to deploy with them, they are normally very accommodating to people who want to deploy. |

Guard andf reserves can join the active duty any time after they have completed BCT, and AIT. All you have to do is talk to your unit admin, and they can help you fill out your paperwork, and submit it up to the army. Good luck

You can pretty much transition anytime after you get your mos. I'd say best to transition after one year so you know what you're doing a little bit and have been to drills and all that....but for the most part, they wouldn't prevent you if you really want to become active once you get to reserves.

You can go directly to active duty through the national guard. You can enlist now. You'll start attending monthly drills right away for pay as you prepare for basic training. You'll then go to the GED plus program in Arkansas, where you'll get full active duty pay. When you complete that & successfully pass your GED, then you'll go on to basic & AIT (Job training). If you want active duty, you can join under the active first program. That allows you to serve 3-4 years on active duty for 20-40,000 bonus. Then you can either re-enlist with active duty, get out of the military, or come back to serve two more years with the guard for an additional 20,000 bonus. msg me & I'll help you figure out how to make all that work. |
