| Diving Qualification in Navy? Yo, I am a freshman in college (soon to be a sophmore) and I have a 4 year schollorship for NROTC (I want to be a bubblehead). Anyway, I would like to know if I do become a submariner, will I be able to get scuba qualified (or even higher than that, a Diving Officer maybe?) in addition to being a submariner? I have had my NAUI liscence for 5 years now. I am just wondering if this is possible, or if it is a either or situation. Thanks! |

| You haven your choice. You can take physics or engineering in college, and hope you get selected for the navy's nuclear program. Thats mandatory for all Submarine officers. Or you can become a Navy Dive officer. Your not gonna do both.
