Thumbs up The Nexus Letter: A Powerful Tool To Establish A Claim

For what its worth, I was recently awarded 100% P&T and I will tell
you, these Nexus letters work as I had two of my Dr's write one for my
claim.

Both of the DR's are VA Dr's, Fist was my Psychiatrist, when I asked
him for one he new exactly what I was asking for, was very accomodating
and instructed me to go get a copy of his letter from ROI in about an
hr. He wrote it right after my appt. with him and I had a copy from my
records in an hr. as he said.

The second Nexus letter was a little more tricky from my PCP in the
fact that she wasn't too sure what I was asking for. I explained it to
her in the best of my ability and she had a general idea what I was
asking for. She said "Trace, I have been your Dr. for over 12 yrs. you
bring me a written axample of what you need and if I agree with it I
will rewrite it and sign it. English is not my native language and
sometimes I have problems" I said, ok, pls make sure it is put in your
notes in my records. I brought her an example, and true to her word in
a week I had it and filed for P&T via my County VSO.

Two mos. later I received a decision from regional awarding me 100% P&T
with no further examinations scheduled.

So, Nexus letters do work, I just wish I had heard of them 5 yrs ago.

Good luck everyone and belated Happy New Year.

Trace
