YanrisseUCLA has a spectacular aura about
Recent College Grad. thinking of enlisting to theU.S. Air Force?

I graduated 7 months ago from UCLA, with a degree in Liberal Arts. Due to the slow progress of the economy i was laid off and now unemployed. I always knew that I was the adventurous type/who seeks for challenge and the unpredictability of any given situation. Having said that, an 8-5 job/career will not suffice this craving that i have been seeking. Do you think enlisting to the Air Force is the right answer? It has been frustrating on my end bec. I thought college will give me "direction/structure" but yet Im here, LOST. Will the Air Force help me lead to the right direction, seeking for the ultimate experience/meaning of life/Direction/Structure. Unfortunately i am not qualified for the Officer Training position due to several reasons, a)Criminical background(non-violent/Grand Theft 1 count of Felony) b) Im not a U.S. Citizen, but Green Card holder. If i enlist to the Air Force, what are the probability of attaining the Officer position, pls. advice. Thank You

Ron g has a spectacular aura about
Well i too have a BA and I am enlisting. I have always had the itch to join the military in my life. Its the one thing career wise that i have been passionate about. I graduated and still didnt know what i wanted to do in the civilian world. So here i am back at square 1 but with a degree to my name. Im joining the Air force. I say do it, but have a plan of what you want to do field wise while in, and make sure it can translate over to civilian life. Do this because you never know if you will want to leave after those 4 years are over. Dont look at the past 4 years as a waste, a BA is always a good thing. Now when you get out you can have great experience, get a masters if you want for free, or if you want stay in. Good Luck.
