What does a National Guard soldier need to do in order to become an active duty
recruiter for the Army? I have been talking to a national guard soldier that has been interested in transfering to an active army recruiter. what are the procedures to make this happen?
He has to be really good at talking to people, he has to be born to do it, second he has to kiss but like no other and suck up to all his supperior officers. He shouldn't have joined the army though they can and will screw him over.
first, he has to switch over to active duty, or active reserve duty. get released from his National Guard Unit. the next issue will be his rank or job. normally you have to be at least a E-5/Sgt to become a recruiter. see the link I am giving you to fill out the paperwork to request becoming a recruiter:
he has to take it to someone higher in power, i dont think a soldier can transfer you, maybe the person in charge of him can, tell him to talk to his boss
can't go NG to active duty army recruiter as far as I know. You'd have to get moved to active duty, which would have to be for some other reason which would probably require you to do that for a couple years, then as an active duty NCO you can apply as a recruiter.
Why does he not just become a national guard recruiter. That's a full-time position.
You need to transfer to active duty first. You can do this by talking with a recruiter in you area and of course your command because they have to release you. If you are stop lossed it will be difficult. I don't think you can re class or transition to a 79R unless you have been on recruiting duty before. Most of the time you enlist with your current MOS and volunteer for recruiting duty. If you are selected, you still have your primary MOS , but you are on recruiting duty. Good luck and talk to a recruiter they really do know allot!
