Do you support citizenship for WWII Philippine Veterans?

I recently attended a ceremony for Filipino's who served in WWII who received American Citizenship...they had been offered citizenship in '46 but turned it down probably because Filipino's had no problems going to America then. Even that group had no intentions on going to America to stay, they just wanted the honor and recognition.

My question is what about the American's who fought for Philippine Liberation against the Japanese, including the American born members of 1st First and 2nd Philippine Regiments created in the USA. I just feel like if a person wants to live in the PI, a land they fought for, that they should be allowed to live there now if they wish as a citizen. I know my Grandfather is 83 and won't want to move but at least it's a nice thought.
