People who think the "swift boat veterans for truth" told the truth about Kerry -

show me some proof. Where's the proof that the stories they told about Kerry's service are true? If all you can respond with is your opinion then please save it.

I want sources with factual information backing up the claims about Kerry's medals, etc.

Unfortunately Kerry is old news and much that was said about Kerry's military service is no longer available or has been removed from the internet.

I do have a few references to Kerry's medals, the one's he acquired under false pretenses because as a swift boat commander, he was able to write up his own reports to his superiors.

Kerry used the three Purple Heart rule leave Vietnam after serving only 4 months of a 12 month deployment. All were band aid wounds. Meanwhile there were those who suffered real wounds and stayed and completed their tour of duty.
During those 4 months, Kerry managed (literally) to acquire medals faster than Audie Murphy.

Kerry calls himself a war hero --- that is a bigger lie than the one Bubba told about Monica's BJ's. Kerry led antiwar groups with Jane Fonda. In fact both Kerry's and Fonda's pictures are in a place of honor in the Hanoi War Museum. Kerry also testified that the men he served with were war criminals guilty of the killing and rape of Vietnamese civilians.
On Meet The Press he admitted in taking part in these war crimes.

It is generally believed that Kerry inititially received a less-than-honorable discharge in 1972 because of his antiwar activities and being AWOL from 96 Ready Reserve drills (part of his Navy contract that he signed in 1966). Six years later Jimmy Carter pardoned Vietnam draft dodgers (which must have really infuriated the families of those who served and died). John Kerry was among those pardoned and somehow he got his discharge upgraded to 'honorable'.

On November 6, 2007, Pickens reportedly offered a million dollars to anyone who could disprove even a single charge made by the Swiftvets and POWs for Truth (SBVT), an anti-Kerry group he had supported in 2004.[22] John Kerry, whose record of military heroism was the target of the group's book and media campaign, sent Pickens a letter on Novemeber 16, 2007, accepting the challenge, requesting that Pickens donate the money to the Paralyzed Veterans of America should he succeed in disproving any of the SBVT claims [22].

In response to Kerry's acceptance of the challenge, Pickens issued a letter the same day, narrowing the original challenge to the SBVT ads, and requiring Kerry to provide his Vietnam journal, all of his military records, specifically those covering the years after his active duty service, and copies of all movies and tapes made during his service. Pickens' letter also challenged Kerry to agree to donate $1 million to the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation, if Kerry "cannot prove anything in the Swift Boat ads to be untrue." [23]

On November 20, 2007, Kerry issued a letter responding to Pickens' letter. He accused Pickens of "parsing and backtracking" on his initial offer and wrote that "I am prepared to prove the lie and marshal all the evidence, the question is whether you are prepared to fulfill your obligation." He concluded that "The only thing remaining now is to set the date for our meeting in an appropriate forum, after which I look forward to you keeping your word and writing a check for one million dollars payable to the Paralyzed Veterans of America so that we can put your money to good work for veterans who have returned home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
