| You max weight is going to be 180lbs (so dont gain anything). In order to graduate from Basic, the min. fitness requirements is to run a 1.5 mile in 14:21, 27 pushups in 1 min. and 50 situps in 1 minute. You should work on running, pushups, and situps at the gym. Oh, and if you want to exceed the min. requirements work on your pullups. In Basic you will working out, taking classes and other stuff. Check out this site....gives you everything you need to know. http://www.airforce.com/training/enlisted/ |

| If you get pregnant before boot camp, you will not be able to join until you give birth and get back in shape. And if your husband is active duty by then, you will have to obtain a waiver to join. As far as fitness goes, as long as you can do half of the requirements posted, the drill instructors will push you and push you until you finally meet them anyway. I would recommend, however, that you try to accomplish a 3 mile run and be able to do 50 push ups and sit ups prior to boot camp to be on the safe side. Once you are in boot camp, those will not be the only physical demands, but id you can handle that, you should be able to handle anything else thrown your way. |
