Is it possible to join the military with a kidney disease?

My condition is completely not transmittable, and it in no way has ever effected me physically. In fact I dont even have to take medication for it. Its just something i was born with. The disease is known as "Thin Basement Membrane Disease"

Best way to know is to contact a recruiter. I know you are at least going to have to get a medical waiver though.

only a MEPS doctor can make that call
and just because it doesn't adversely affect you in the civilian world does NOT mean you can serve in the military. higher standards .

does it effect your behavior or physical activites? do you take medicine for it? Don't talk to your recruiter because he/she will just say its fine. It's risky I can't say for sure. But the recruiters will try to get you to join no matter what, sometimes they are not the best to talk to.
