...more academically demanding? When I have a first time ever teaching Instructor lecturing at our class, he/she seems to be a little easier on our grades. Almost like a C is an A. But when I learn from a Distinguish Professor or a University professor that holds a higher seniority/pay grade to his/her career, he/she pushes the students farther with more demanding content to learn and more challenging difficult assessments ( quizzes, test, projects, etc) WHY does THIS TREND happen?

because professors know how to teach and push students to work and LEARN things. Crazy, I know, that someone with more experience would have high expectations and want you to learn more.

This trend has been going on for quite some time now. Think of this, the more techno savvy we become, the more we rely upon it to do our work. Because of this, we are all less and less capable of doing the work required. Proof? I teach 6th/7th grade science. The typical student cannot spell, doesn't know how to break a word down to figure its origins, roots, meaning etc., doesn't know how to use a table of contents and many other things the older generations had no choice but to do the long way, work it out. This trend is alarming and will continue as long as we continue to teach to the test.
