what navy enlisted jobs make rank quickly?

I am joining the navy, and still deciding on a job. I had a very high asvab score and they recomended NUKE.

I woudl like to make rank, although that is not the only reason i'll pick a job.

I was just curious what jobs make rank the fastest? I have so many that I am interested in somethign liek that might help to make a difference on whether i take one job or another.
oh and not to sound corny but to throw it otu there, whatever i do i just intend on giving it 200%, rank is not super important, but i'd like to do it.

The jobs that are the most undermanned. Your recruiter should have a current list. The less people in a job the greater the need the faster you advance, but be careful, undermanned jobs can attracted alot of people then your ll stuck Choose your rate choose your fate.

As far as starting off fast, NUC's all start as E-3's but you can be an E-3 before your ship to boot with any job if you do the prereq's while in delayed entry or if you have ROTC or College. The best way to go is pick a job you will be good at, then do a good job get good evals and study your rate and then you will advance quickly.

nukes make pretty quick rank, and it's a great way to go if you can make it though the school...but most people screw up over stupid things.
as your recruiter to look at the navper's list, it comes out every six months and shows what ratings are "open" or under manned and those over manned.

Usually the ones with less competition for the rank you are trying to achieve. That can fluxuate each year. If you really are that concerned, bust your hump and in the end, you should get what you deserve.
