| why is it so difficult for a single mother to join the military??? im well aware that i have asked this question before but people seem to be illiterate and were unable to answer my question!!! before you answer let it be known i am well aware of the sacrifices and challenges that lie ahead in my decision to join the army i have talked to a recruiter but i still didn't fully understand my dad is an e 8 1sgt but times have changed from when he first joined he has been in for 26 yrs since he was 17 and he supports my decision to join and is behind me all the way but anywho got off the point..........i jus wanna know exactly wat it is i could do i was under the impression i got do my initial enlistment and if i decide to renlist i could regain custody of my son but serious answers only plz!!! i have already talked to my mom she supports my decision and wants to take the baby........ come to think of it thats kinda scary lol j/k but yes i have someone that i trust to take care of my baby |

| Not difficult, impossible. You have to prove that your kids will be taken care of while you're deployed. If you were to offer power of attorney to someone like your own parents, a recruiter would likely treat you much better. |
