Why aren't the Cubs looking for a veteran centerfielder to back up Pie?

I think they are trying him out, to see how if he's capable. If he's not, don't be suprised if they try to trade some of their young talent for a #2 pitcher and a solid Center Fielder.

you could argue that soriano is their insurance policy? granted his isn't the greatest defensive center fielder, but if Pie doesnt pan out, then you could use Fukodome in right, Soriano in Center, and Murton in left, plus they could always trade before the deadline if they need to.
