| US Army National Guard or Army Reserves?
i will be completing my undergrad degree in health sciences by 2010 and i plan to pursue a doctorate degree in physical therapy. i WANT to join either the guard or reserves as a 68w (health specialist aka combat medic) i already know the guard is controlled by the governor and the president and the reserves are controlled by the president. i am not afraid to go to iraq or afghanistran so that isnt a issue. i am willing to do what i can to serve. i live in maryland but go to college in washington d.c. will i still get state benefits (tuition)? by the way, i also want to know which of the two is the best in terms of toughness (or coolness)... i know it sounds childish but im curious. thanks in advance everyone
