Child of disabled veteran scholarship?

I am a child of 2 disabled veterans and I know that children of veterans (at least in the state of California, don't know about other places) get their tuition paid for. However, I am also married. I was wondering if anyone had any evidence that says a married child of a disabled veteran couldn't apply for this grant. Or is it still acceptable? I am still under 21, and can hardly afford to pay for college. just wondering if this grant could still apply to me. Thanks!

Well, the rules specify that the applicant must be a dependent child or spouse of a veteran or serviceman who died from service-connected diseases or is disabled. Despite your marital status, are you still dependent on your parents? If so, you could still apply for the grant and receive it.

But to be absolutely sure, you can call up the US Department of Veterans Affairs and verify for yourselves.

Once you are married, you are no longer a dependent of your parents, therefore you are not eligible to use any of their benefits that are for their dependents.
