...will get after i join. what's right? I am a first-year college(community college) student.
I was about to join the Air Force(enlisted) last week. I am done with all the paper works and waiting for MEPS and ASVAB test. However, some people say some of the stuff that recruiter tells me is wrong and they can't guarantee 100% what they say. And they also said it's better for me to finish first 2 years of college and then join the Air Force as an officer(at least not as an enlisted). My recruiter said I can get free college education and get to travel a lot and all other sweet stuff. Which one is truly right? Who should I trust? Does anyone know about the education system and benefits of Air Force?

Be very careful. My daughter's friend was given false information. After enlisting and attending boot camp she was told that she would be part of a special group on the ground in Iraq doing security missions.

Many soldiers find no time to attend school. How are you going to attend school while in Iraq or Afghanistan? Also, you can probably get just as much funding by applying for scholarships, grants and loans. What is your life worth? If you get a 4.0 one semester you can apply for an honors scholarship at most community colleges and the next semester is free. It can then transfer to a university.

Also, look up the high rate of rape and abuse of women in the military, even airforce.
