| Depends on what you do with your money. I have seen E2s that can manage money better then some officers. Overall, yes. You get enough money to live on for the majority of families. At lower ranks it is harder at first. If you stay within your means, life even as an E1 can be comfortable. Expecially since you don't have to worry much about food or medical. |

| Yes. You will have a steady paycheck that pays well above minimum wage. If you are single, you will have little or no expenses. Food and shelter are provided. Your career path and your pay are only limited by your ability to follow orders, do well, and seek employment. The harder you work, the faster you get promoted, the more money you will make. |
