i want to get a tattoo while in DEP for the Navy. will i get in trouble?

ok so i want to get a heart about the size of a 50 cent piece on my foot. it will be outlined in black and filled in with transparent blacklight ink.

can i get in trouble if it is on my foot. i mean i know i am not allowed to get any tattoos but i really want this one and it would be on my foot.

You say that you know your not allowed to get any tattoos...

Part of being in the military is being able to follow orders and live by the rules..How about you start following orders and live by the military rules..

If after you finish boot camp you still feel the need to get a tattoo then go right ahead..What is your big rush right now?

Not only YES but HELL YES you are in DEP and have agreed to NOT CHANGE ANYTHING about your status. getting a tattoo, no matter where is changing your status.
when you show up to MEPS to ship out and you have a tattoo..will NOT ship becuase you have altered your physical status.

NOT ALLOWED TO GET TATTOOS means NOT ALLOWED TO GET TATTOOS.

That depends on the gang relation of the tattoo. Some unknown gang may use that same tattoo, and that would cause you to have get it altered or removed. It would be best to wait untill after basic training to get it done. I was suprised on how many tat's have some form of gang relation associated with it while recruiting, so be careful if you decide to get it done now. The best bet is to wait and see if you still want it after basic. Or you could get it done and not say anything....... but that could cause delays in your leaving for basic if/when its noticed
