BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Space Key?

Hey Guys,

I recently got my BlackBerry Pearl, and the space key is acting weird (I don't know if it's only mine though). Whenever I press the space key towards the bottom of the phone, I get this plastic-to-plastic sound. Now is that just me, or is it with all the BlackBerry Pearl 8100s? If it is, then is there a way to stop this plastic-to-plastic sound because it makes it hard to make spaces for me....however the other keys are fine. Is it just my phone?
