Back in June 2004 I heard a speech by our principal that a star( comet, shooting star ( I have no idea)) shows up every few hundred years two times in four year intervals. So it showed up June 2004 and it was going to show up again June 2008 and then gone for a few hundred years can anyone tell me the name please its very important......

this sounds like a grossly distorted version of venus transits.they occur in pairs, 8 years apart, with over 100 years between the pairs. the last one was in june 2004. the next one is in 2012. the next pair are in 2117 and 2125. the last pair were in 1874 and 1882.if its that important please ask a more coherent question.
