I got involved with me best friend (girl) sexually, now she wants space?

I've had this best girlfriend for a while, one day she confessed she was sexually attracted to me but that was it. A few days later we stared making out and doing other things* behind my girlfriends back. All of a sudden she wanted space. I did not talk to her for a couple of weeks, then suddenly we are friends again like normal. Then i started calling her and she was acting oddly she started hating my girlfriend because she seas that she is not good in off for me ,and she also said that she feels my GF dislikes her her personally which is not true at all. Then she confesses she still wanted to have this affair it was all happening by phone and suddenly she seas its not normal and that she needed space. What does this mean, and how can i save our friendship? Pleas help I'm rather confused and frustrated.
