| Living in a condominium home. Question is about diabled parking and how many spaces?
are required if only one home owner in the 100% owner occupied community is disabled? We recently changed over from a rental community to 100% sold. We are in the transition of changing property handling from the previous property owner to our Home Owner's Association. We recently had a meeting, but they were unsure as to a requirement to have the 2 disabled parking spaces per building that we have now.
We understand that the common areas such as the pool, club house and gym need them. The one disabled owner has two marked spaces in front of his condo (and I think he also has a garage?), but the remainder of the buildings are owner occupied and parking is scarce. If we got rid of the remainder of the unnecessary disabled parking spaces we could free up to 4 spaces per bulding.
Is there a minimum requirement for disabled parking in the event that the property is privately owned? Please site a source so I can print it out for our safety and architectural committees. Thank you!
