biology sat question?

Recombinant DNA is presently used in the biotechnology industry to

1. eliminate all infectious disease in livestock
2. synthesize insulin, interferon, and human growth hormone
3. increase the frequency of fertilization
4. create populations that exhibit incomplete dominance

Which number is the answer?

The answer is 2. Recombinat DNA is used in genetically modified bacteria (e. coli) to produce insulin which I know for sure.

Answer 1 is incorrect because there is no way for recombinant DNA to eliminate "ALL" infectious disease in livestock..."all" is the keyword to this being incorrect.

Answer 3 is incorrect because that would mean genetically modifying humans (sperm, eggs, etc) which is currently not occuring.

Answer 4 is wrong because that is simply makes no sense whatsoever when it comes to the goals of biotechnology.
