Science (biology) help please!?

I'm not sure how to research about this..can someone tell me some basic points or recommend websites that explain how the symptoms of illness would increase a person's survival advantage? Thanks!

Go on classzone.com. Look under High School Science books in California, and you can get a link to this really great Bio textbook. I use it all the time to help me with my Bio homework.
