Algae such as phytoplankton are at the base of all aquatic food chains, if they were to disappear, all other sea organisms would soon follow (domino effect), thus algae are critically important to the global ecology. Wind pollination and vector pollination is pretty much the same thing, a pollination vector is anything that takes the pollen from stigma to anther, it could be wind, water, bees, butterflies, anything that can move the pollen around.....      |
