Assuming independent inheritance, you need to make a diagram of the possible allele combination, and how they would mix in the F1 generation. Hint: The number 640 is given to make your math simpler; for each parent there are four possible combinations (AR, Ar, aR, ar), so there are (4 X 4 =) 16 possible genetic outcomes. With random distribution, there are 40 offspring of each possible genotype. Some genotypes, and more phenotypes, will be redundant. |
