which school would be better for a biology degree- San Diego State or UC Riverside?

My friend is torn between San Diego State and UC Riverside. She wants to go to a school with a good biology program but doesn't know whether the schools have a good undergraduate biology major.

UC Riverside has a program for med students that is really good. It's something in conjuction with UCLA. It draws a lot of bio majors to UCR. I don't know much about San Diego State, and I am a little biased b/c I go to UCR
