Biology help...?

I'll be in that and Geometry my freshmen year next year what can I expect to do in both classes?

During the introductory year of biology there isn't much that is covered. The majority of teachers begin with teaching the cell theory and basic things about cells (i.e their organelles and their functions). Another common this to do is membrane transport. If you are looking to study this research osmosis, diffusion, facilitated diffusion and active transport. You may or may not do taxonomy (the classification of living things. Another thing that will probably be covered is the 5 (some say 6) kingdoms consisting of Animalia, Plantae, Fungi, Protista an Monera. Finally you will probably review/study cellular respiration and photosynthesis.

Oh, and you could also study protein synthesis and organ systems.

Geometry is mainly about the triangles and circles. Area, perimeter, how to find angles, perpendicular/parrallel stuff, circonference, etc.

I am a freshman now, in biology but not Geometry(Algebra for now). in biology expect:
classifying animals, learning structure of DNA, RNA, Transcription, translation, polypeptides, E. Coli, maybe DISSECTING THINGS, random stuff about leaves and classifying them as well.. basically stuff with nature or the workings of the human insides.. hope this helped.
