What is the significance of molecular biology? (Why might you be interested in...

...molecular biology?)? I have to fill out an application in order to take a molecular biology course sequence. One requirement is that I have to write is why I'm interested in taking the course sequence... BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO WRITE!! Since it's the only thing that's required on the application, I'm sure this is what they look at to choose the students to be in the class.
I know I want to take the class because it's modern science and, because I plan on having a medical profession in the future, it would help me alot in my career. But I think everyone else who is applying for this class has the same reason written down.

So I was just hoping, if anyone out there had any new ideas of what I could write, please tell me!! (I REALLY want to take this class!!)
