Pravda has a spectacular aura about
Biology Q's...HELP PLEASE!!?

1.Can both mitosis and meiosis occur at the same time? Explain?
2.What is the most basic difference between mitosis and meiosis?
3.Explain the similarities and differences between cell division in animal and plant cells.
4.Skin cancer is much more common than brain cancer. Why might the frequency of cancer be related to the rate of cell division in skin as opposed to the rate of cell division in the brain?
5.A young couple in their 20’s comes to you for genetic counseling. The man’s father developed Huntington disease at the age of 50. The woman has no family history of Huntington disease. The couple would like to have children. What advice would you give them about the likelihood of them having a child who will develop Huntington disease?

Thanks so much!!!

nixity has a spectacular aura about
1. No - they occur in two different types of cells

2. Mitosis results in 2 identical daughter cells; meosis results in 4 daughter cells with half the genetic material of the mother cell

3. Plant cells have a cell wall that has to be divided - animal cells do not

4. Brain cells do not divide/undergo mitosis after you are born - skin cells do

5. You would need to provide the genetic information behind huntingtons disease in order for this question to be adequately answered. I'm not googling it to find out for you.
