biology help please?!?!?!?

can anyone please tell me that if you decide to cover part of a leaf with aluminuim foil, to prevent light from reaching the chloroplasts, will the starch in that leaf increase OR decrese??

It decreases because the photosynthesis is not occurring .
starch is produced during photosynthesis.

the starch will decrease because withiout the help of light plants will not be able to form carbohydrates. this is what photosynthesis is all about-photo-light, sunthesis- formation of starch by breaking dowm the carbohydrates in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll qwith the help of c02 and h2o. in a way you are destarching the leaf.

Plants need ATP to produce sugar from CO2 and water...

it would decrease...
