| Why don't parents who don't want to vaccinate their kids make their own school?
There are more risks involved in vaccinations than there are in being around kids who haven't been vaccinated. For example, a chicken pox vaccine is now required to enroll your children in school, but w/ the vaccine you are more likely to get it when you are older when it is much more dangerous. However, chicken pox in young children is not terribly dangerous in comparison and actually having the illness as a child makes a person much less likely to get it again or to get shingles when they are older than just getting the vaccine alone. I don't agree w/ having fantasy books pulled from shelves or biology courses removed, but isn't forcing unnecessary vaccines similar to those forms of censorship? Why would you be offended by people saying what your children should or should not read, watch, or learn about, but not offended by someone telling you that you are required to give your child unnecessary vaccines?I don't really understand your viewpoint here? Perhaps you could consider that you are trying to control what other people expose their children to in the same way that those parents that want to ban biology classes are trying to protect your children from something you don't feel they need to be protected from. You could try home schooling your child yourself instead of stooping to the level of the very people that are upsetting you.
