Should i major in biology or can i just major pre med?

im starting to look at different majors and colleges this summer seeing next year i'll be attending college. I figured out that helping people is something i'd like to do, and im really interested in medical careers. I want to become a docotor of some sort, and am not sure what i should major in. Should i major in biology, or is pre med a major?? Helppp???
