Any high school biology teachers out there?

I'm considering a career in teaching high school biology. I have a BS in biology and have worked in research for a few years. What kind of personality traits does it take to be a teacher? Would you reccomend a teaching certificate or a MAT? Do you love what you do, and why? What is life like on a daily basis? Do you have enough free time to pursue other interests you might have? I'm just looking to get an idea about what teaching is like, and if its truly for me. Thanks!
