Biology homework re: making wine...?

In an attempt to make wine, you put yeast to a sweet grape juice mixture in an open pot. After several days you find that the sugar levels have dropped, but there is no alcohol in the mixture. What has happened???

The yeast used the sugar in fermentation, and the alcohol evaporated from the open pot.
