mother/daughter book club book?

What's a good mother/daughter book for a book club? The girls are all about 14, and want a happier book if possible, since we just read The Lovely Bones. The best book would appeal to both the mothers and daughters, if possible. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks so much :]]
