I recently acquired a painting signed by G Chapman called "Autumn". Does...

...anyone know anything about author? This picture is a landscape and has a farm in the background with autumn leaves on the trees. In the foreground is a draping tree by a lake with ducks swimming around in the lake. I am very curious as to who the artist might be. It kind of looks like folk art or primitive. There's no date on it either. If anyone can help me, please e-mail me. Thank you.
