What's your favorite Harry Potter book and why? I have a tough time deciding! It's definitely NOT 1 or 6, but top contenders are 3, 4 and 7. In 3, I love all the background info we get about James, Sirius and Remus, and I love those characters. 4 is very exciting and if possible, more magical than the rest. 7 is awesome, because it's so intense and JKR gave us a lot more info to think about.

I definitely know what you mean! I love all the books so immensely, I don't think I could ever part myself from them....I'd have to say that the Seventh one was definitely my favorite. Things from the first book all the way up to the sixth left little inklings of unresolved information that would drive me INSANE! I would always wonder why things weren't answered and as time wore on, Rowling left more and more perfectly hidden clues on subjects like horcruxes, relationships, Voldemort's rise in power, and we got insight on some more of the vague characters she created. I was most interested in the transformation of Harry's judgments in Kreacher and Severus Snape. Kreacher was horrid and strongly loathed to Harry since the fifth book and Snape was one of his most dearly hated Professors up until Harry went through his memories. It all just blew me away!!! Every chapter left me wanting more and more with every sound, person, and spell casted. We get to see the trio outside of Hogwarts and in hiding. Feelings are let loose and all of them get to know more about each other through their time spent together. The epilogue was so.....Blah(?) though. It was so final to Harry, Ron, and Hermione's destiny. Everything was vague, but still....I found it extremely and in all ways perfect. Rowling did great! ~

Goblet of Fire Number one...the scene of the Weasleys coming to pick up Harry and arriving in the boarded up fireplace of the Dursley's house. Easily the funniest scene in the entire series. I was sorely disappointed that it did not make it into the movie. Number two, when Harry is battling Voldemort...the most intense and moving scene of the series until Harry's scene of self-sacrifice in the final book. I also liked the whole concept of the Tri-Wizard Tournament.
