Rebecca G has a spectacular aura about
In the book Of Mice and Men how does the author present the theme of loneliness?

If you have any ideas please answer. Also please help on the lines of how lennie and george's relationship was special, the irony and tragic last recitation of their dream and the other characters such as Candy, Crooks and Curley's wife.

The author presents loneliness through Lennie and Crooks. Both of them weren't allowed to play cards with the others and even when Crooks tried to kick him out of his room he really liked the attention as no one else was there to befriend him. Lennie and George's realationship was special as George was willing to travel with him even though he had mental problems but Lennie got hired easy as he was big and worked fast. The irony about Lennie was that he literally loved everyone and everything to death leading him to the killing of Curleys wife who at times probably wished she was dead anyways. In the end George shoots Lennie saving him from having to deal with Curley. He dies very peacefully thinking about rabbits, a topic covered throughout the story. Lennie is going to tend the rabbits when they have there own farm.
Candy is an older character who ends up letting someone shoot his old dog as they didn't put animals to sleep back then and feels true regret at someone else taking care of his problem. It is perhaps hearing his story that George eventually decides to shoot Lennie.
Curleys wife is quite lonely and even with him she isn't ready to settle down. She flirts with nearly everyone and is kept at the house but she reveals to Lennie how she was gonna be in the pictures meaning an actress.
Crooks was a carer of the horses and since he was black and had been injured at the farm people rarely paid any attention to him.

Basically George asks Lenny to do his homework for him, and thus becomes the blunt-witted character he is. He soon feels lonely in his ineptitude, and regrets ever having had people think for him. He then remarks that he's glad there is hope out there, as kids today don't actively become imbeciles by outsourcing their homework.

It's a great read, as I'm sure you know.
