Aspergers Syndrome is a mild form of autism. An Aspergers sufferer 13 year old wrote a book called 'Freaks, Geeks & Aspergers Syndrome' (Google it). It is a recognised best seller.

To be interesting you need more than talent. You need to know what you are writing about so the book he wrote was interesting because he knew even more than most adults about Aspergers as he had personal experience.

As a 14 year old, even though you think you are talented and have probably been told by lots of people that you are talented your writing will certainly lack some depth and maturity so you need a specialised subject where you know more about it than the reader.

Writing a story about 14 year olds would be a good idea. Using your own and your friends view of whatever interests you and maybe not generally known about by adults.

About getting a book published maybe you could Google book publishers and send them a double spaced manuscript (double spaced to leave room for editing and comments).

Another way may be to try short stories first and send them to teenagers magazines which have short story sections.

Hi. I was having a similar problem-seeing as how I just turned 15. Then I realized something, age is something agents or editors take into consideration, negatively; they especially tend to avoid younger authors(trust me, I learned the hard way). So what I suggest you do is write something, anything, and if you honestly believe that it has potential to reach a local Barnes and Nobles, then I suggest you query an agent and hold off from informing him/her of your age until it is absolutely necessary. I'm sure by that time--if your editor/agent feels your work is comparitive to adult work-- your age will be a small hurdle that will most likely be pushed aside.

I wish you the best of luck and if I can do it, I'm sure you can.
