Looking for the name of a book?

I remember reading it while in high school in one of the english lit books you get. (those large ones that have different stories in them) I was told it was novel or something. Anyways in this english lit book it was called Dandelion Wine. Although when I look it up by that name it doesn't bring up the right results. The story was set in the 50's or 60's can't remember but theres a murderer in the town, and a girl goes out to a movie with her friends, and when she makes sure her friends get home safely she takes a short cut through the woods and when she gets home the murderer is in her house. Anyone know anything else about this story? the proper name perhaps?
