| Who is the author of this poem?
I cherish your voice. I play it back, so many times. But it's just washed away; into whispers in my head. But the whispers turn to shouting. Shouting leads to tears. But when your tears turn to laughter, it washes away my fears. Those other girls, Just mines and traps. Take your heart, they cut it with razors and wires. But after all the ditches, trenches and stitches. We come to you, Uttering even a smile from the grave diggers. How much more there is to say, but so little words to describe; the late at night talks, and the feelings you give me. Threat's are emptied, by this person who fills it with love. |
