I am looking for this book and don't know the author or the title? But I

remember the plot? I read this book around 2000-2002. It was an african american novel. It was about a girl who had four or three God brothers, who looked out for her. However she falls in love with the one God brother but they have to keep it a secrect because if the other brothers(who were all just friends who went to the same college or school) would find out they would think the he took advantage of her. So pretends to be seeing someone else.
