Tom Robbins!!! Check it out. Titles include "Still Life with Woodpecker," "Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas," "Skinny Legs and All," "Another Roadside Attraction," and "Even Cowgirls Get the Blues. He's wickedly funny.

And the person who said Kurt Vonnegut is right too, he's good.

Try Crank; Impulse; Burned; Glass (4 differnet books) by Ellen Hopkins. It is way more intense, but they are just as thoughtful, just "darker". Also I might suggest the book "Into the Wild"... it is an extension of a news article, but it definetly tells a great story.

You have great book taste, by the way!

Books writen by Anthony Horowitz- Alex Rider(mani character in teh books) skeleton key, point blanc, I think this one is called scorpion, and there one more I think... these are really good...

Right behind you is an awesome book, but its non-fiction...

my friend reads a lot of vampire, fairies, and magic books, it someties creeps me out... but he looks very interested in them...

Try anything by Kurt Vonegut such as Breakfast of Champions or Slaughterhouse Five.
